Tata Motors today introduced the much-anticipated Tata Harrier EV to the Indian market. Built on a Land Rover D8-based OMEGA platform, this all-electric SUV showcases Tata’s partnership with Jaguar Land Rover and highlights the brand’s ambition to lead India’s electric vehicle revolution.

A Grand Unveiling

At a packed media event in New Delhi, the spotlight moment came when the matte-black Harrier EV rolled onto the stage—remotely controlled and driverless. The audience erupted in applause, marking this as a milestone in Indian EV innovation. The spotlight moment was all about showcasing the SUV’s new remote parking assist feature, highlighting Tata’s commitment to cutting-edge technology.

Pricing, Booking, and Warranty Tata Harrier EV

The Tata Harrier EV starts at ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be open for bookings from July 2, 2025. Tata Motors is backing the SUV with a lifetime warranty, reflecting their confidence in its build quality and durability.

Off-Road Triumph: Elephant Rock

Ahead of the launch, Tata Motors released a video featuring professional off-roader Dr. Muhammad Fahid taking the Harrier EV up Kerala’s steep Elephant Rock. Despite locals warning of its treacherous terrain, the EV conquered the climb, demonstrating its impressive AWD capabilities. With this performance, the Harrier EV firmly positions itself as a rival to the Mahindra XUV.e9 and Hyundai Creta EV.

Striking Design and Bold Styling

Drawing inspiration from its diesel sibling, the Harrier EV retains a muscular profile. Its refreshed grille and bumper lend a distinct identity. Complemented by turbine-blade alloy wheels, sharp creases, clean lines, and continuous LED daytime running lights (DRLs), the design exudes both power and sophistication.
