Xiaomi, the popular Chinese tech brand, has officially revealed its latest innovation in the EV segment – the Xiaomi YU7 electric SUV. Packed with futuristic features and high-end performance specs, the YU7 is set to redefine electric mobility not only in China but potentially in global markets, including India.
Technology Meets Intelligence
The Xiaomi YU7 stands out with its advanced tech-rich features. It comes with Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology for seamless keyless entry and an impressive triple-screen layout offering 108 PPD retina-level clarity. Inside, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset ensures smooth functioning, while OTA updates keep the system fresh and future-ready.
Passengers can enjoy the convenience of a 6.68-inch central control display for music, navigation, and climate control, along with reclining seats up to 123 degrees and 135-degree powered seats. Add to that Lidar sensors, anti-glare cameras, Nvidia Drive AGX Thor, and an in-house driver-assistance system – the Xiaomi YU7 clearly puts safety and comfort at the forefront.

The YU7 electric SUV will be offered in three powertrain variants:

Impressive Range & Battery Options
Battery capacity plays a major role in EV performance, and Xiaomi has nailed it with the YU7 lineup. Both RWD and Pro AWD versions feature a 96.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. While the Pro variant delivers a solid 770 km of CLTC-certified range, the single-motor RWD variant goes even further with an impressive 835 km range per charge.
The YU7 Max AWD variant uses a bigger 101.7 kWh nickel cobalt manganese battery. Despite its performance focus, it still offers a commendable 760 km range – perfect for long-distance highway cruising.
Design, Dimensions & Charging Speed
The Xiaomi YU7 electric SUV is built on the Modena platform. It measures 4,999 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,608 mm in height, with a massive 3,000 mm wheelbase – ensuring a spacious and luxurious cabin. Based on the variant, the YU7’s kerb weight touches 2,460 kg and wheel sizes go up to 20 inches. Buyers will also get to choose from nine stylish exterior colour options.
One of the YU7’s standout features is its 800V high-voltage silicon carbide architecture, which supports ultra-fast charging. With V6s Plus electric motors and rapid 5.2C charging support, the YU7 can add up to 620 km of range in just 15 minutes – a game-changer in India’s growing EV landscape.
